I began my humble career journey as an Auditor for one and a half years. It was a natural choice as I studied Accountancy.

Yet, no matter how hard I worked, my pay increment and promotion were slow. I was quick to realise that this career path would not be able to fulfil what I wanted to achieve in life before 30 years old:

- Own a car
- Start a family
- Finance my own house

I asked myself one question. "Why continue in a job that would not be able to fulfil my aspirations in 5 years no matter how hard I work?" I always believe in the importance of how we spend the 10 years of our life (Between 20-30years old, when we still do not have any commitments), and I no longer wanted to waste my youth away.

Inspired by the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki, I knew I would be trapped in a 'Rat Race' forever if I did not get out of that corporate job fast.

The spark to know more about a Career in Prudential came from a fellow auditing colleague. Honestly speaking, joining Prudential never crossed my mind when I was young but being open-minded, I thought that there was no harm in finding out more. I submitted my resume and soon after, I was called up for an interview.

Just like any new business start-up, there were concerns: Lack of sales experience, Limited network, No stability in pay, "Friends" might avoid you, "Challenging" industry. However, this was an opportunity that I could potentially achieve what I wanted. I did what most would not have dared - Got out of my comfort zone and took the Leap of Faith!

With Hard Work, Perseverance, Willingness to Change, Positive Attitude, Strong Mentality to handle countless rejections, fueled by my huge Ambition to have a Team whom I can guide and help to get out of the Rat Race, I achieved what I set out to do before 30. My Career Advancement Track Record - In 5 years, being promoted every single year till I reached my Directorship, is a testament to my abilities.

I met Jaden when I was invited to play for the soccer team he was in. During that time I had little impression of him and went to New Zealand thereafter to pursue my career. With a friendly smile and approachable personality, he passed a small piece of paper to me and asked me to call if I have inquiries. What seemed like a common way of marketing, I thought nothing of it until the content of the note caught my eye. It was self written, typed out and printed on a A4 size paper which is then cut into similar smaller pieces. It tells me that this young man is persevering and really making an effort. I knew Jaden last year while looking for an experienced FA for my first pregnancy. As it is our first time, we did not know what to do or what to expect, we only knew we wanted to get an insurance asap. I like to tell people that I met Jaden under rather serendipitous circumstances more than ten years ago. I remembered then that he was doing a road show at Raffles Place and I was on my way back from lunch, when he stopped me wanting to have a chat about financial planning and insurance. I normally don't stop for such chats, but somehow Jaden radiated such genuine sincerity that I did end up stopping and we ended up having a good conversation about this topic, which then led to follow up meetings and in fact, many meetings thereafter. Over the years, Jaden has been my go-to financial consultant for all matters relating to financial planning as well as insurance. I like working with him because he's very methodical in his approach. He takes a very genuine interest in his client's needs and then proceeds to recommend products that he finds to be genuinely suitable for his clients. It’s not just about the product recommendation, it's also about the follow up service thereafter. He's always just a phone call away. Most recently, I had some questions regarding the medical claims for my parents, and he assured me that the entire process was going to be easy and fuss-free, and he was actually guiding me along on the claims. It did turn out to be easy and fuss-free which to be quite honest, surprised me because in my mind, claiming for insurance was a complicated matter, but it was in fact really simple. So I was glad to have him helping me along the way, and I was glad that he was there to give advice as well. Throughout the years, testament to his hard work and sincerity towards his clients, he has obviously built for himself a great team as well as a successful company. And yet to me, he remains the same humble and steadfast person that I met those many years ago. I feel assured knowing that my insurance matters, my financial planning matters are in his hands and he is just a phone call away. I have no doubt that I will continue working with Jaden and in fact, I always try as best as I can. If any of my friends would require a financial consultant, he would definitely be the person that I would have no hesitation to introduce to my friends.

I have known Jaden for more than a decade and he has never failed to return my call/text even once when I need any information or assistance.
